So long as you had superior skills in building your own shelter from the elements, know local edible plants and roots, lived in an area with abundant fruit and vegetables without the need to steal them from others, hunting and fishing skills, I think it is certainly possible, there are isolated tribes still thriving today in the world working together without coin and paper currency, they commonly use food and livestock as their currency.
